Battling SSIs together
With COVID impacting everyone globally, we have seen an increase in hand hygiene use and a raised awareness of how contamination can occur.
Now, with a big backlog and a catch up of previously cancelled elective surgical procedures happening, we need to ensure that the awareness is also there for the prevention of surgical site infections (SSIs).

SSIs depend on many factors, however over 50% of them could be prevented using current evidence-based strategies.3
At BD we are proud to partner with HCPs who have made patient safety and SSI prevention a priority.
It takes commitment, effort and teamwork, but with passion and dedication our customers, at all levels of the hospital, are engaged in the fight against SSIs.
