820 Clinicians Joining Hands: One Goal – Surgical Site Infection Prevention Across Europe

May 13th 2026 - 17:30 – 18:30 CET

Join us for this multi‑expert webinar addressing one of the enduring challenges in infection prevention: achieving clinical consensus. In this session, Prof. Marja Boermeester, Prof. Josep Maria Badia, and Prof. Gabriele Sganga will walk through the latest European consensus paper, showing how clinicians from across surgical specialties worked together to agree on evidence‑based surgical care bundles with real clinical impact.

The discussion will highlight the key outcomes of 820 clinicians across Europe coming together around a common goal: improving surgical site infection prevention. The faculty will share some insightful—and at times unexpected—results, followed by a focused review of the evidence behind the most impactful preventive interventions.

Because agreement alone is not enough, the webinar will also explore practical implementation strategies, helping translate consensus into everyday surgical practice. Bring your reflections and questions—the webinar concludes with a live discussion.
